	General Terms and Conditions

	I am entering freely into a Homestay Consultancy agreement. I consider myself flexible and willing to fit into my family's routine as much as possible.

	I understand that I am responsible for my own safety and the safety of my household at all times and that it is up to me to be prepared for any situation. Homestay Consultancy cannot predict or a control event therefore is not responsible for any actions carried out by my family or me and will not be held liable.

	I understand that to the best of Homestay Consultancy's ability, Hosts have been screened and interviewed, however please be aware that Great Britain is a multi cultural and diverse nation. This means that families can have different origins and different cultures. British law does not allow discrimination between ethnicity, origin, religion, sexuality or disability.

	Payment

	Payment of school fees and homestay can be made via Bank Transfer, credit/debit card, cheque or cash.

	To ensure smooth transactions on all payments to Homestay Consultancy, please put your full name or the invoice number in the paying reference so we know any monies received are from yourself. If payment is not from an English bank, any/all bank charges incurred for the transfer must be paid by the student at the time of transfer.

	If you would like to pay by credit card please let us know and we will send you a payment link. Please be aware that there is a charge of 4.5% per transaction.

	At the time of booking, Homestay Consultancy will require a deposit of one week’s rent and the administration fee in order to book your Accommodation. If you are booking less than 14 days before your arrival, then Homestay Consultancy will require the full amount paid in advance at the time of booking.

	If you are booking both an English course and accommodation together, then Homestay Consultancy will require the full course fee in advance in addition to the deposit for accommodation and booking fee. I understand that any failure to pay monies owed by me will result in host family accommodation being denied and I will then become responsible for finding my own accommodation.

	If you wish to move home stay for my own personal reasons I may incur an administration fee.

	Homestay Refund Policy

	I may be refunded remaining fees if I choose to leave the Homestay Consultancy agreement entirely before its end date; subject to two full week’s written notice. If I cancel my Homestay Consultancy agreement before I arrive to my host, I will not be entitled to a refund on the deposit. This is due to one week’s cancellation rent being paid to cover the family’s losses in addition to the administration fee to Homestay which will be deducted before the remainder of the monies are refunded to me.

	Courses Refund Policy

	The refund policy will depend on which school you attend. You can request at any time a copy of the refund policy from your school. We as Homestay Consultancy are a placement agency and the booking will be made with the school and we are therefore bound by their policy for refund.

	There are no refunds under any circumstances for cancellation or curtailment of tuition or accommodation on Academic Year, Academic Semester or University Foundation Programmes.

	Host Families

	Telephone

	Usage of the family’s telephone is generally not permitted unless agreement is made with the host family in terms of cost. It is advised that you purchase a phone card which you can buy from any local newsagents which can be used on any telephone and call time added by the student when necessary.

	Keys

	Please keep your keys safe as this can cost quite a lot of money to replace and also is a safety risk. When leaving your host family please remember to give back your key.

	Internet

	Internet access is provided at the sole discretion of the host family and some families provide this for an additional charge.

	Room

	Please keep your room tidy so that your host family can clean your room once a week. When leaving your accommodation please have it clean for your host family.

	Smoking

	Please be aware that it is now illegal to smoke in many public places in Great Britain. If your host family do not smoke please respect that and only smoke in designated places. If unsure please ask your family or school.

	Emergency Number

	Students are given an emergency number should they require help out of school hours. This is for concerns such as health, safety and well being. Please ensure that when phoning it is not something that can wait for the offices re-open during normal working hours.

By completing the student application form and returning it to Homestay Consultancy I agree to the above Terms and Conditions and those found on the Homestay Consultancy website. I hereby declare that the information I have provided is true and correct, and that you are 18 or over. If not please ask a parent or guardian to complete on your behalf.
